Our studio offers a variety of creative and social activities throughout the year. These events foster learning, connection, and community engagement for our clients and supporters.
🧵 Weekly Studio Sessions
Clients attend weekly sessions to work on their crafts, learn new skills, and enjoy being part of a creative community. Each session is guided and adapted to individual abilities. As part of our studio activities, we also run our renowned weaving program.
🎈 Funday Fridays
Once a month, we host a themed Friday filled with games, baking, music, and social time. It’s all about fun, friendship, and creativity beyond the loom!
🧶 Stitching Days

🎄 Holiday Crafts & Celebrations
We love celebrating the seasons with holiday-themed crafts — including Easter, Christmas, Matariki, and more. These projects are often displayed or sold within the community.
🛍️ Market Stalls
Our clients’ handmade items are regularly showcased at local markets across Canterbury. These stalls give our makers the opportunity to share their work and connect with the wider public.
🤝 Community Participation
We actively support our clients in their endeavours to take part in community participation events. Examples include visiting exhibitions, craft fairs, and other community events of interest.
🎤 Speaking Engagements
Our team regularly takes part in speaking engagements at schools, community groups, and local events. These talks provide an opportunity to share our story, raise awareness about inclusivity in the arts, and inspire others to get involved in creative community initiatives.
